What About Cost?
The BAWTmobiles will – unlike our outdoor gear - come to you with some basic costs. However, BAWT and City CarShare have worked hard to make this program affordable to youth agencies. We’ve waived almost all the start up and annual fees and lowered the daily/hourly cost as well! As with all City CarShare vehicles, gas, insurance, and maintenance are always included! So you never pay for gas!

Joining is EASY for all and FREE for the first 10 WLT participants who sign up and complete the BAWT orientation.
The cost of using the vans will depend on how far and for how long you drive them, but this is where you really see the savings! The best way to get a sense of cost overall is to see some sample trips:

This reduced pricing plan means that CCS/BAWT program participants pay a discounted price for the minivans. Other CCS members pay $7/hour for the minivans while CCS/BAWT members pay $5/hour. Plus, CCS/BAWT members can take the BAWTmobiles for more than 3 days, while all other CCS members have a 3-day trip limit on all vehicles. And remember, these prices also include the cost of insurance and most importantly (at $4/gallon) GAS!
There’s one thing we’re sure about regarding cost - it’ll make more sense for you to share the BAWTmobiles than to rent a vehicle from a rental car agency.
