Introducing...

Jaime

Jaime is BAWT's new Equipment Room Manager. He is a native San Franciscan, who has experienced many of the outdoor jewels that Northern California has to offer.
He has explored many other areas of the Southwest, many by mountain bike, and continues to explore the local trails of the Bay Area in his free time. Jaime comes to BAWT after working as an elementary school teacher and a Site Director for a non-profit housing development corporation. His passion for the outdoors and serving underprivileged populations, especially children, makes him an excellent match for the mission of Bay Area Wilderness Training!

Cassie Dakan

I'm happy to join BAWT as the agency's new Development Director. I have been in the Bay Area since 1985 and have worked in fund development and program development for different child and youth serving non-profits focused on youth development, public school reform and early childhood education. As an outdoor enthusiast, youth leader and mom, I've enjoyed camping, hiking and exploring the open spaces of the Bay Area, California, the southwest and Florida. I have a BA in Public Relations from the University of South Florida. To relax close to home, I swim, beachcomb, play tennis and enjoy the coastal hills of Pacifica, where I live. I've traveled the USA extensively and look forward to seeing Alaska someday soon - the only state left on my list!

Steering Committee

BAWT's is proud to welcome three new members to its primary governing body, the steering committee. Christina Benz, Linda Shih, and Roger Miller. Christina is a native of Ann Arbor, Michigan and brings new strength to BAWT's marketing effort. Linda adds valuable legal counsel and is excitedly learning the field of outdoor risk management. Roger is a Development Director and helps tremendously with our fundraising. Welcome!
