Wilderness First Aid (WFA)

Wilderness First Aid (WFA) is an industry-standard training that will benefit anyone who spends time traveling, camping, and recreating in the outdoors and away from immediate medical care. BAWT is pleased to partner with Katryna Anderson of Safety Training Pros / Foster Calm Wilderness Training to provide this 16-hour course. WFA training does not include BAWT Gear Library access upon course completion.

About the WFA

  • 16-hour course instructed by Katryna Anderson of Safety Training Pros / Foster Calm Wilderness Training
  • Course participants will leave with the industry-standard Wilderness First Aid (WFA) certification.
  • WFA covers basic wilderness first aid topics such as patient assessment, shock and bleeding, head and spinal injuries, wounds, heat and cold illnesses and much more.
  • Suitable for all skill levels, no previous experience necessary. Learn by doing in a safe, friendly setting.

Realistic and Practical

  • Curriculum meets the highest standards in wilderness medicine, wilderness first response, and wilderness first aid training.
  • Certification available after successful completion and wilderness exam.
